From our BRCGS certified facility in Grimsby, we supply many of the largest UK Fish Processors with our recyclable solid board fish boxes as an environmentally friendly replacement for EPS and other plastic alternatives. Our boxes can be stored flat for greater capacity utilisation and operational efficiency.
Our Solution
Our recyclable solid board boxes are coated to retain strength and structure in wet environments where there is excess ice and water.
Our boxes are flat packed enabling cost savings on transport & shipping and reducing storage space requirements when compared to plastic alternatives.
We offer either a 1 or 2-sided PE coating, hard sizing, and can produce either of our boxes in 1 or 2-sided white/brown.

Environmental Benefits
Our PE-coated fish boxes are Recyclable and include FSC® certified board.
These act as the perfect substitute for EPS boxes, where 50% go to landfill after use, along with plastic returnable crates, which suffer from poor return rates in practice.
Our solid board boxes are currently exempt from UK plastic packaging tax.
Space & Capacity Benefits
Our solid board boxes are stored flat, saving 7 times more space compared to EPS boxes. This enables our customers to utilise their storage capacity as efficiently as possible.
Reduction in Transport Costs
Compact palletisation allows for a reduction in transport & shipping costs, along with reducing in-house forklift truck movements.
Effective Barrier Coating
The coating adds a moisture, oil, and humidity-resistant barrier while reducing the effects of general wear and tear.
We also offer hard sized middles which add additional water resistance.
Hygienic
Hygiene concerns associated with poor cleaning of plastic returnable crates are eliminated.
Quality Printing
Our solid board has an incredibly flat and smooth surface to display high quality printing.
