From our BRCGS certified facility in Grimsby, we supply the Fresh Produce sector with our recyclable coated & uncoated solid board boxes to replace EPS and other plastic alternatives. Our solid board boxes also allow for greater capacity utilisation and operational efficiency. All of these benefits are realised while maintaining a similar level of functionality.
We also supply highly printable, 100% recyclable solid board punnets to replace plastic packaging.
Our Solutions
Our recyclable, coated or uncoated solid board boxes remedy the various environmental, operational and hygiene challenges associated with EPS and plastic alternatives.
We supply 4 and 6 point glued coated and uncoated solid board boxes from our BRCGS certified facility in Grimsby. We offer either a 1 or 2 sided coating, hard sizing, and can produce either of our boxes in 1 or 2 sided white/brown.
Benefits
Environmentally Friendly
Our solid board boxes are made from wastepaper fibres laminated with recycled test or Kraft liners, all of which are recyclable. Solid board is a significantly more environmentally friendly alternative.
Cost and Logistical Benefits
Our solid board boxes allow for twice as many units per pallet compared to corrugated boxes, nearly 30 times more compared to plastic crates, while saving 7 – 10 times more space compared to EPS.
This uses less storage space and reduces forklift movements.
More of our solid board boxes can be transported per pallet compared to other alternatives, reducing transport costs.
Functional Benefits
Our solid board boxes maintain their shape in wet and humid conditions, while our coated boxes have additional moisture resistance.
We also offer hard-sized middles which add additional water resistance to the edges of the box.
